Private rooms
Located at 51 Quai des Grands Augustins, Lapérouse is one of those legendary places that, in itself, embodies the memory of a city.
The restaurant — the first to be awarded 3 Michelin stars in 1933 — has long been a stage for both French haute cuisine and the glittering social life of Parisian high society. For over two centuries, guests and courtesans have gathered in the discreet, plush atmosphere of our elegant private lounges to experience the magic of candlelit dinners and the timeless art of French living.

The Bar
Softly lit and intimate, the Bar at Lapérouse offers its privileged guests a timeless escape.
Embroidered tapestries and velvet banquettes set the scene for shifting moods — from quiet early-evening cocktails to lively musical and dancing soirées reminiscent of a Paris long gone.
To the sound of Madonna, smiles mingle and sparkle among an unmistakably overdressed crowd.
If the walls could talk …
Zola, Maupassant, Baudelaire, Proust… Our famous salons have welcomed them all — from the devoted Victor Hugo, to Colette who penned Chatte here, from Serge Gainsbourg who first met Jane Birkin within these walls, to Woody Allen who chose the setting for a scene in Midnight in Paris, Orson Welles, Winston Churchill, Ernest Hemingway…
Writers and high society figures have long flocked to Lapérouse, and today they are joined by icons of fashion and cinema — making every moment spent here a suspended slice of time.
The Cellar
Spared by the Great Flood of 1910, the Cellar too has witnessed the golden hours of Paris.
During World War II, it served as a shelter from German bombings. Today, it houses over 800 carefully curated labels, tucked away from prying eyes, with Champagne and Burgundy taking center stage — more than 7,000 bottles in total.
For true connoisseurs, tailor-made tastings are offered in this timeless, period-decor setting.
